Policy Summary: The oceanfront will create high quality, well-paying, permanent jobs in marine industries, knowledge-based businesses, light industrial office and warehouse companies, tourism, stores that sell goods and services for the local community and institutions such as schools, colleges and public buildings. Employment areas

Employment will be focused in a civic/educational area on Cattermole Slough, a tourist/marine hub on the Mamquam Blind Channel (red), and a maritime centre along the southern end of the Mamquam Blind Channel (blue). The West side of the peninsula is flexible, allowing for either housing or employment to dominate the mix (orange).
